Four-star SG Jacob Webber commits to Purdue

Jacob Webber, a four-star shooting guard in the 2026 class, has committed to Purdue, he told Rivals.
The 6-foot-6 rising senior out of La Lumiere School (IN) is ranked as the No. 31 overall player in the 2026 class, according to Rivals. This makes Webber one of the highest-ranked recruits to choose the Boilermakers.
Along Purdue, the Kearney, Nebraska native also received offers from Tennessee, Cincinnati, Nebraska, Creighton, Washington, Arizona State, and others.
Webber on his commitment to Purdue
In an exclusive interview with Rivals, Jacob Webber discussed his decision to choose Purdue.
“I felt like Purdue is the best fit with coaching and play style, and I feel like I can thrive through their offense. I feel like Coach Painter and all the other coaches care for their players and overall want what’s best for them as a person and a player.”

In his own words, what type of player is Purdue getting in Jacob Webber?
“I feel like I’m a shooter that can come off screens and hit tough shots, and also open up the floor for ball-dominant guards.”
He has a message for Purdue fans.
“Purdue got another shooter that wants to win and is going to hit big shots in big moments.”
Webber is the second player in the 2026 class to commit to the Boilermakers, joining four-star PG Luke Ertel (No. 51 NATL). Purdue is still expected to pursue several other ’26 targets in four-star SG Colben Landrew, four-star SF Bo Ogden, and four-star PG Junior County.
