Purdue-Ball State notes
NOTES (excerpt from Tom Dienhart’s post)
• Ryan Browne played one season at four different high schools: Brother Rice (Mich.), Sarasota (Fla.) Riverview, Venice (Fla.), Milford Prep (N.Y.). He has a knack to get people to play hard for him, going 32-2 as a prep.
• Forty-six of Purdue’s 54 transfers arrived after spring football. Three of those players are expected to start on offense (WRs Michael Jackson and Nitro Tuggle along with Browne) and three are expected to start on defense (DBs An’Darius Coffey and Myles Slusher along with LB Charles Correa). Projected No. 1 punter Jack McCallister also got here after spring ball.
• Five players on Purdue’s 2024 roster are on the Ball State roster: RB Elijah Jackson; OL Aaron Roberts; WR Trey Firestone; WR Donovan Hamilton; DT Reese Hill.
Former Purdue Ops man Pete Roley is Ball State’s Chief of Staff, while ex-student Grant Timms is a GA for Roley.
