Old National Presents—First and 10 : Ohio State

As we start the week, 10 items of interest as Purdue (2-7 overall; 0-6 Big Ten) plays host to No. 1 Ohio State (8-0; 5-0) on Saturday (1 p.m. ET, BTN).
• Ohio State has won the last three meetings with Purdue dating to the iconic Boilermaker triumph in 2018 when they knocked off the No. 2 Buckeyes, 49-20, in the “Tyler Trent” game in Ross-Ade Stadium.
• Purdue is 7-11 all-time vs. No. 1 teams. It is 3-5 vs. No. 1 teams at home. The last time Purdue played the No. 1 team was 1990, when it lost 37-11 at No. 1 Notre Dame.
• The last time the No. 1 team played in Ross-Ade was 1989, when No. 1 Notre Dame took a 40-7 decision in Ross-Ade. Purdue’s last win vs. a No. 1 team in West Lafayette was 1976, when the Boilermakers stunned Michigan, 16-14.
• Have we seen the last of RB Devin Mockobee? He missed the Michigan game with an ankle injury. And Barry Odom said afterward “I’m not sure yet,” when asked when Mockobee will be back. He is 13 rushing yards short of 3,000 in his career.
