Purdue adds commitment from 2025 long snapper
Purdue added a commitment from 2025 long snapper Justin Schmidt of Thomas Jefferson High in Pittsburgh on Wednesday.
The 6-2, 225-pound Schmidt can sign with Purdue on February 5.
Purdue has two long-snappers on the roster: senior Nick Levy and sophomore Claude Strnad.
2025 signees
• Purdue signees: DE Landon Brooks; RB Ziaire Stevens; CB Zyntreacs Otey; RB Jaron Thomas; LB Sam Steward
• UNLV flips: DE Mason Alnutt, S Vi’Naz Cobb, TE Jon Grimmett, LB Parker Meese, QB Garyt Odom.
Purdue is expected to add just a handful of players on Feb. 5 in addition to Schmidt.
