Visitors on tap for Rutgers game:
Purdue will not host any visitors the next two weekends, with roadtrips to Minnesota and Northwestern on tap for Barry Odom and company. Oct. 25th’s homecoming clash with Rutgers provides the Boilermakers with their next opportunity to wow recruits, and a handful of names are already known as expected attendees.
2027 Andrean (Ind.) linebacker Ethan Reyna:
Don’t be surprised if this Northern Indiana standout emerges as Purdue’s linebacker in the 2027 class. Reyna is high on the Boilermakers, and grew up going to games in Ross-Ade Stadium as a fan. He has also netted offers from Rutgers and Minnesota, along with Miami (OH), Toledo and Western Michigan.

2027 Chaminade-Madonna (Fla.) linebacker Temorris Campbell:
Campbell was offered by Purdue in May and identified the Boilermakers as a program that has been recruiting him hard. The Florida native has also received offers from Pitt, Liberty, and Indiana.
2027 Guilford (Ill.) EDGE Keysan Taylor:
A guy that is on offer watch is rising 2027 Illinois EDGE Keysan Taylor. The Guilford product has not yet earned an offer from the Boilermakers, but don’t be surprised to see Purdue enter the mix at the end of the month. Taylor also hold offers from Illinois, Iowa State, Miami, Michigan State, Indiana, Cincinnati, Iowa, Wisconsin, Vanderbilt, North Carolina, Kentucky, Northwestern, Duke, Minnesota and Arizona State.
2027 Murrieta Valley (Calif.) quarterback Daniel Mielke:
Mielke was initially set to visit Purdue in September, but had to cancel and reschedule. The California signal caller is now set to hit West Lafayette at the end of the month and could be on commit watch when he does.
2027 Bolingbrook (Ill.) running back TJ Lewis:
Lewis was also supposed to visit Purdue earlier this season, but was forced to reschedule. The Illinois tailback will be on campus in a couple of weeks. He also holds offers from Indiana, Wisconsin, Miami (OH), and Howard.
Targets react to game day visits for Illinois game:
2027 wide receiver Dallas Crescenzo:
Purdue is among the top programs in contention for rising 2027 wide receiver Dallas Crescenzo, who took in the Boilermakers’ clash with Illinois last weekend. The Florida pass catcher made the trek to West Lafayette for the first time and was impressed by the amenities and how welcoming the staff was to him.
Despite Purdue coming up short in the game, Crescenzo kept a close eye on the Boilermaker wide receivers and how they were utilized. The 6-foot pass catcher can see his versatility being used in offensive coordinator Josh Henson’s system, if he were to land in West Lafayette.
“When I talked with Coach Ford, he said the receivers get to move around the field a lot, so you’re not restricted to being in one spot the entire game. So every receiver is lined up, whether it’s inside, outside, both sides of the field, just gets everybody involved in different spots,” Crecsenzo said.
2027 offensive lineman Kellen Wymer:
2027 Liberty Center (Oh.) offensive lineman Kellen Wymer did not have much of an agenda when he locked in a game day visit to Purdue for the Boilermakers matchup against Illinois, but left West Lafayette with a new program in the mix.
Wymer was taken back by the atmosphere in Ross-Ade Stadium.
“I just thought, Purdue’s a pretty good school with good programs, and I thought it’d be a good time, a good experience,” Wymer said. “I think it was surprising for me. I wasn’t expecting it. It was a full stadium, I would say, so I think that was cool to get to see that, especially at a noon game.”
2027 defensive lineman Dami Sowunmi:
2027 Brownsburg (Ind.) defensive lineman Dami Sowunmi is looking to stay closer to home while he plays his college football. Purdue provides that opportunity for one of the top in-state prospects in the class.
The Boilermakers hosted Sowunmi on Saturday during their loss to Illinois, and the rising junior was impressed by what he saw from Kelvin Green’s defensive front, which held Illinois to less than 3.0 yards per carry.
“I mean, the D-line, they were doing their thing,” said Sowunmi. “They were putting some pressure on that quarterback, forcing some bad passes, getting some sacks. So at the end of the day, I mean they did their job.”
