Purdue soon will begin preparations for the 2025 campaign in training camp, gearing toward the season-opener on August 30 at home vs. Ball State. Let’s count down the top 30 Boilermakers as we march to the start of the Barry Odom era.

No. 20 WR Michael Jackson

This will be Michael Jackson‘s third college. Will Purdue be his most productive stop? That’s the hope, as he joins a revolutionized wideout unit.

He signed in the spring after spending just one season at Georgia. And Jackson did little in 2024, making one catch for 10 yards.

Jackson has some zip and is considered to be a refined route-runner who knows the finer points of the position. He could play inside or outside.

Prior to UGA, Jackson was at USC for three season where he tallied 46 catches for 498 yards and five touchdowns. His breakout year was as a sophomore in 2022.

Coming out of Las Vegas Desert Pines, Jackson was a four-star prospect and the No. 287 overall recruit in the class, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. He also was the No. 16 ranked receiver in the class and the No. 2 overall player from the state of Nevada.

Jackson is one of four ex-Georgia players who came to West Lafayette via the portal after the 2024 season: OL Marques Easley, WR Nitro Tuggle and LS Luke Raab are the others. Purdue took four Bulldogs last year: WR De’Nylon Morrissette, WR CJ Smith (now at Memphis), CB Nyland Green (Arizona State) and DE C.J. Madden.
