Two Purdue players already opting for portal

Before post-season player meetings with Matt Painter have even commenced on Monday, two Purdue players are already bound for the transfer portal, neither of them terribly surprising.
Juniors-to-be Brian Waddell and Will Berg will make themselves available to transfer, GoldandBlack.com has confirmed, almost certainly signaling their departures from Purdue. Both have already been listed in the portal.

Both have played sparingly the past two seasons after redshirting as freshmen, though Berg did play some important minutes late this season as size-deprived Purdue battled depth issues in its frontcourt all season. It is no secret, though, that Purdue is going all-out to add at least one man big man this off-season to go along with center Daniel Jacobsen‘s return from injury.
Waddell, a Purdue legacy, saw his Boilermaker career sidetracked considerably by an ACL injury his freshman year, and has played only sparsely since.
