WR Charles Ross no longer on team

Purdue coach Barry Odom confirmed after practice today that WR Charles Ross is no longer on the team.
“Right now, he’s not on the team active,” said Odom. “That would be where we’re at with him right now.”

Odom described Ross’ absence as a “health issue.” Odom does not expect Ross back.
“I do not,” he said.
Ross had yet to take part in any of the Boilermakers’ first six camp practices. He arrived in January after transferring from USC. Ross took part in spring football.
Purdue’s top collection of wideouts thus far appears to be Michael Jackson, Chauncey Magwood, De’Nylon Morrissette, Nitro Tuggle, Arhmad Branch, E.J. Horton and Corey Smith.
