About SMU: SMU enters Wednesday on a three-game skid after falling at home to UTSA 77-73 despite four Mustangs scoring in double figures. It was just the second loss this season when SMU had four players score in double-figures. SMU will honor Samuell Williamson on Senior Day as he leads the team in rebounding with 7.3 per game, having also added over 10 in six games. The Mustangs are led in scoring by preseason All-AAC selection Zhuric Phelps (14.7, 13th AAC) and Chuck Harris (13.1). The loss to UTSA was the first home loss in AAC play. Now the Mustangs are looking to rebound ahead of the AAC Tournament and end the home slate on a high note.

About East Carolina: RJ Felton leads East Carolina with 16.6 points per game (6th in AAC) and has scored 10 or more points in 21 consecutive games while Brandon Johnson and Ezra Ausar round out the Pirates’ top scorers with 13.8 and 11.4 points per game respectively. Johnson leads the team on the glass with 8.4 rebounds per contest which is third in the league and is fourth in the AAC in double-doubles this season with eight. Bobby Pettiford Jr. leads the Pirates with 3.4 assists per game and is first in the conference in assist-to-turnover ratio at 3.16 (15th in NCAA). Felton and Johnson each scored 14 points, but East Carolina fell 84-69 to North Texas at The Super Pit on Sunday afternoon.

SMU holds a 21-6 series lead over East Carolina. SMU has won 16 of the past 18 meetings.

Up Next: SMU concludes the regular season at UAB on Sunday at 2 p.m. CT.
