About SMU: This is the first game for the Mustangs since Sunday’s 79-68 loss at AAC-leader South Florida, the second consecutive loss on the road in Florida for the Mustangs. Defensively, SMU’s slipped as of late, now ranking 2nd in the AAC in opponents field goal percentage. Against USF, the Mustangs outrebounded the home team 45-32 and grabbed a whopping 27 offensive rebounds, but it wasn’t enough. It was the first loss this season for SMU when the team had four players score in double figures. Kasean Pryor scored 19 points and added nine rebounds off the bench as the Bulls increased its win streak to 13. For the Mustangs, it’s now about trying to finish out the regular season strong to land in the Top 4 of the AAC.

About UTSA: On Wednesday, the UTSA men’s basketball team drained 14 three-pointers, including 11 in the first half, and ran away with an 89-73 victory over Tulsa. The Roadrunners shot 42 percent (14-of-33) from long distance and 44 percent (28-of-63) overall. Jordan Ivy-Curry led six Roadrunners in double figures with 20 points, dropping in a trio of three-pointers and going 7-for-10 at the free-throw line, while Christian Tucker scored 12 and notched his third points-assists double-double – dishing out an AAC record-tying 14 assists. The Roadrunners had a double-digit lead eight minutes into the game and never looked back.

SMU and UTSA have split a pair of home-and-home series. In 1990-91 and 1991-92, each team won at home. Then the 2007-08 and 2008-09 series saw the road team win each matchup.

Up Next: SMU hosts ECU for senior day on Wednesday, March 6. The AAC season concludes at UAB on March 10.
