Decision day is here for in-state South Carolina DB target Tamarion Watkins

The end of the recruiting process is here for priority South Carolina defensive back target Tamarion Watkins.
The Rock Hill (S.C.) Northwestern class of 2026 four-star will announce his college decision among finalists South Carolina, Texas A&M, Georgia, and Miami during a ceremony today at 2 p.m.

He took official visits to all four schools.
Torrian Gray has served as the recruiter of record for the Gamecocks.
On South Carolina:
“The home state school, man. Been showing love the longest. I just can’t get enough of the coaching staff. Coach (Shane) Beamer, Coach Gray, Coach (Jaylan) Foster, all those guys, just love them and love what they see in me.”
On Georgia:
“I mean, just the work. I mean they send guys to the league consistently. You hear about Georgia players a lot and the good that they do football-wise and the men that they become and all of that.”

Watkins, who accumulated 75 total tackles, including 8 tackles-for-loss and 2.5 sacks, plus three interceptions this past season, is ranked the No. 335 overall prospect, the No. 32 safety, and the No. 8 prospect in South Carolina for the 2026 class.
