Ellis is unranked nationally, but is considered a three-star prospect by On3. In addition to South Carolina, he had offers from Oklahoma State, Murray State, Indiana State, UMass, Radford, High Point and others.
Ellis is the first player to commit to head coach Lamont Paris in the Gamecocks’ 2026 recruiting class.
