Everything LaNorris Sellers said after Texas A&M

LaNorris Sellers passed for 246 yards and two touchdowns on Saturday, but South Carolina blew a 30-3 halftime lead and lost 31-30. Here’s what Sellers said after the game.
Question: What caused the dropoff in the second half? Was it conservative playcalling?
Sellers: They just made more plays than us. I wouldn’t say the playcalling got conservative. I thought it was good tonight. It’s a long game. You’re going to take shots. It takes all 11.
Question: What did A&M do differently defensively in the second half?
Sellers: I think they just play harder, honestly. They came out there and did what they did to get momentum. It’s a momentum game and they had momentum in the second half.
Question: Did you feel like the offense got conservative in the second half? What happened on the fourth and one play where you hand off to Matt Fuller?
Sellers: They just made a good play. Kudos to them. They made a good play.
Question: What has been the biggest change over the last two weeks since Mike Furrey was named the playcaller?
Sellers: Just opening up the box and trying to get the ball in guys’ hands and let them make one-on-one plays. That’s the biggest thing. Just taking shots in their air, stuff like that.
Question: How much new stuff was actually installed?
Sellers: It really wasn’t – I mean, we had some new stuff here and there just because we install new stuff based on who we play and how they play, stuff like that. But it really wasn’t new.

Question: What did you see on those last two snaps that led to sacks?
Sellers: It was man coverage and we knew we had to take a shot at the safety over the top. I didn’t want to come all the way back across the field just for time, and stuff like that. I really probably should have just thrown it away. (inaudible)
Question: How do you keep the spirits up and say you still have something to play for?
Sellers: I mean, you just play for ourselves. I mean, you still play for our stat. We play Clemson and Coastal, we can still win the state. I guess that’s what (inaudible).
Question: There’s a lot of social media chatter about your future and potential other teams. How much do you pay attention to that?
Sellers: Just finishing the season. When the time comes to make those decisions, it’s going to be that. Everybody’s got decisions to make. I plan on being here because I’m here right now.
