LaNorris Sellers threw for 222 yards and rushed for 67 with two combined touchdowns in the 29-22 loss to Alabama. Here’s everything he said after the game.

Question: LaNorris, what happened on the fumble?
Sellers: We had a QB draw in, so we ran to the middle, and I had two hands on it (because) I knew they was trying to strip it. I had two hands on it, and I’m thinking the refs were gonna blow the whistle. As soon as I started to fall down, when I was going to catch myself, that’s when I took my other hand off, and I guess that’s when they got under it.

Question: In the moments after that, what’s going through your head?
Sellers: I mean, just trying to think a little bit (about) like what I would have done differently in that situation. Just seeing the replay, thinking about what I would have done different, should have done different; should have different.

Question: You had a lot of success in the passing game. What was really different coming into this game?Sellers: We just spread them out a little bit more. Just trusting the protection, trusting guys around me, and stuff like that. Just trusting the game plan we have, and taking what I saw.

Question: How do you balance tonight, with the fumble and then all the positives?
Sellers: There were some good, but there was some bad as well, but we ultimately lost the game. That’s what’s going through my head.

Question: LaNorris, earlier in the game, on the pass to Rahsul Faison that went off his hands and got  picked off, what was your viewpoint on that play?
Sellers: Yeah, we talked about it and it’s just something that didn’t go our way. Sometimes with football, things go your way. Sometimes there’s things that just go their way.

Question: Last year, the Alabama game really served as a springboard into your run at the end of the year. Do you think this can do the same for the rest of this season?
Sellers: Yeah, we go out expecting win every game, just like we do every week.

Question: It seemed like the game plan involved more moving the pocket and getting you out on sprint options. What were the conversations like with Coach Shula and the implementation of that this week?
Sellers: Just making them cover the whole field, really. Last week, Oklahoma pretty much stacked the box a lot, and we just wanted to get those guys on the move, just get them in space.

Question: Shane said, planning the game plan that he told Coach Shula to simplify things, just run the best plays over and over again, get the best players involved over and over again. How did that work for you?
Sellers: Whatever’s best for the team, really. That’s just simplifying the game plan and stuff like that, just keeping a simple, small game plan. That’s what we’re going to keep doing. If it don’t work, we’ll throw it out, try something else.

Question: Jayden keeps getting more and more involved. What are you seeing from him, and how comfortable are you guys getting?
Sellers: Super comfortable. I’m glad he’s getting out there. He’s getting that experience and stuff like that. That fourth down play was kind of like a busted play where he just was smart in the situation and recognized the coverage and he ran the route he did. He’s just a smart player, starting fast, starting on the fly.

Question: It seemed like the offensive line played a lot better today. Do you guys agree with that? How much does that help the overall flow of the offense?
Sellers: Yeah, they did play well. They played a lot better. We always knew they can do it. Those guys fight through all the adversity they’ve been through this season. They still keep their heads down and work. We go as they go. If they have a big game, we’ll have a big game.

Question: Defenses are trying to take away Nyck. Do you wish you could get him more involved?
Sellers: Yeah, definitely. He’s 6-5 so you can’t really miss him. If they’re going to take away that guy, it’s pretty much we’ve got to do something else.

Question: It felt like there was a lot of momentum shifts. Did it feel like the atmosphere was very back and forth?
Sellers: I think it’s just a part of SEC football. It’s just like, things go good for us, then something bad happens. We’ve just gotta keep it, not staying low, just staying level.
