Final injury report is in for South Carolina's afternoon matchup with Alabama

Things will remain the same for South Carolina on the injury front heading into Saturday’s game against No. 4 Alabama.
With 90 minutes until kickoff from Williams-Brice Stadium (3:30 p.m., ABC), the final SEC availability report is in. As expected, offensive tackle Cason Henry is the only Gamecock on the report, and he’s listed as out.
“He’ll be out (and) I don’t think he’ll return this season, so certainly not playing this Saturday,” head coach Shane Beamer said of Henry during his media availability on Tuesday.
That means everyone else should be good to go for South Carolina, which is about as healthy as it has been all season.
“It’s as clean an injury report as we’ve had in a long time,” Beamer said on Carolina Calls. “And wish Cason was healthy, wish Caleb (Williams) was healthy. But we’ve had a great week, and give kudos to those players that have fought to get healthy and get back into the fight, and then Clint Haggard and our training staff for getting those guys back out there and ready to roll. And Chip Morton, Luke Day, and everyone in our strength and conditioning program.”
On the other hand, Alabama will be missing a handful of players on Saturday. Linebacker Qua Russaw, wide receiver Lotzeir Brooks, linebacker Jah-Marien Lathem, linebacker Cayden Jones, tight end Danny Lewis Jr., and defensive lineman Jeremiah Beaman are all listed as out.

Offensive lineman Geno VanDeMark, who was listed as probable on Friday’s report, is now a game-time decision ahead of kickoff.
Last season, the SEC approved a player availability injury report system for football, men’s and women’s basketball and baseball.
SEC school personnel must submit availability reports three days prior to each football game, with daily updates culminating in a final report 90 minutes before game time. For basketball and baseball, reports are filed the night before, with an update on game day.
When schools submit injury reports, players will be designated as available, probable, doubtful, and questionable before game day. On game day, designations will be available, game-time decision or out. The model follows injury reports similar to the NFL.
