Four Gamecocks earn Coaches' All-SEC honors
College football awards season is underway, and South Carolina received a few honors on Tuesday afternoon.
The Gamecocks had four players make the Coaches’ All-SEC team, the SEC announced. EDGE Dylan Stewart and defensive back Jalon Kilgore each made the second team, while EDGE Bryan Thomas Jr. and Vicari Swain were on the third team.
It’s the second All-SEC honor for Stewart, who was a Freshman All-SEC selection in 2024. In his sophomore campaign, he recorded 33 tackles with 4.5 sacks and three forced fumbles.
For Kilgore, this is the third straight year in which he’s made an All-SEC team. He earned Freshman All-SEC honors in 2023, then was named second-team All-SEC by College Football Nation and third-team All-SEC by Phil Steele in 2024.
Kilgore finished with 54 tackles, a team-best 10 pass breakups, and two interceptions in his junior year.

Swain made the All-SEC third team as a return specialist for his efforts in the punt return game. He finished the year with three punt return touchdowns, all of which came in the first two games of the season. He finished the year with 19 punt returns for 302 yards, averaging 15.9 yards per return.
South Carolina finished the 2025 season at 4-8 (1-7 SEC) on the year. The Gamecocks open next season with Kent State on Saturday, Sept. 5.
