Four-star linebacker Andrew Harris signs with South Carolina
With the signing period starting on Wednesday, South Carolina football has begun officially adding its 2026 recruiting class to the fold.
Four-star linebacker commit Andrew Harris was the most recent player to get his paperwork in to USC. He is a native of Matthews, NC, and attended Weddington High School.

Despite being listed as an EDGE on his recruit profile, he will play linebacker for the Gamecocks. Defensive coordinator Clayton White likes to bring pressure from the second level, though, so he won’t be giving up pass rushing completely.
Harris is a top-20 recruit in North Carolina and No. 381 nationally, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking. He ranks at No. 18 in the state of North Carolina and No. 36 nationally among EDGE rushers. If his position was changed in the recruiting rankings to linebacker (and his overall rating unchanged), he would be the country’s No. 25 linebacker prospect.
