Four-star pitcher announces for South Carolina softball

South Carolina softball continues to push for a Top 10 class in the 2027 team recruiting rankings, adding another four-star prospect to the commit list on Sunday.
Vienna (Va.) Langley four-star left-handed pitcher Norah Jacques announced a commitment to the Gamecocks on social media Sunday afternoon.
“I chose to commit to South Carolina because I want to pitch at the highest level in the SEC and play for a program that values the same things I do,” she told Softball America’s Brady Vernon. “I made an immediate connection with Coach Ashley, Coach Zack, and the entire Gamecock staff. I just love who they are, the way they run their program, and the way they play the game. I also wanted to play relatively close to home because my parents have been such a huge part of my softball career and it means a lot that they’ll be able to always come see me play.”
“USC also has an incredible Sports Management program that will give me the tools for a successful career in sports law,” she added. “From my first camps at South Carolina through my official visit, the entire Gamecock community has been awesome and made it so easy for me to call Columbia home. I can’t wait to get on campus in 2027 and do everything I can to help bring championships home to South Carolina.”
Jackques is ranked the No. 85 overall prospect and No. 25 pitcher in the 2027 class by Softball America/On3.

“Jacques, who plays for Virginia Glory Willemssen, is a strong and athletic,” Softball America’s Brady Vernon told GamecockCentral. “She has the ability to create swings and misses with her combination of velocity and change of speeds. The lefty can hit her spots in any count throughout the zone and mixes locations well.”
The Gamecocks now have seven commitments for the class of 2027.
This past week, Black Mountain (N.C.) Charles D. Owen four-star middle infielder Mia Roland, Taunton (Ma.) four-star catcher Bella Bourque, and Corpus Christi (Texas) Veterans Memorial three-star “utility” Parker Malone.
The week prior, South Carolina added Myrtle Beach (S.C.) Carolina Forest four-star pitcher Kaysen Warehime, Atlanta (Ga.) Riverwood four-star pitcher May Weis, and Fox Lake (Wis.) Beaver Dam three-star corner infielder Kendall Fakes to the class following weekend visits to the school.
South Carolina’s 2027 class currently ranks No. 10 in the country according to Softball America.
