Gamecocks in the NFL: Super Wild Card weekend guide

The NFL regular season is over and only a handful of Gamecocks are still in the hunt to win Super Bowl LVII.

Here’s a look at which former South Carolina players to keep an eye on this weekend, as well as any injury updates.

Note: The Gamecocks in the NFL weekly guide won’t always include game day injury statuses. Players who are placed on IR (+) or on practice squad (*) will have marks next to their names. (q) are for players who are questionable, (o) are for players who are out.

Giants vs Vikings – 4:30 pm (FOX)

Nick Muse – TE #34 (MIN)

• After spending time on the active roster for nearly half the season on special teams, Muse was released a week ago by the Vikings to make room on their 53-man roster. After clearing waivers, he was brought back by Minnesota and signed with their practice squad. Not surprising news, but according to a source close to the situation this is what the Vikings had hoped would happen.

Ravens vs Bengals – 8:15 pm (NBC)
Hayden Hurst – TE #88 (CIN)

• A Week 18 rematch, Hurst will be going up against the team who drafted him in the first round in the 2018 NFL Draft.
