Gamecocks in the NFL: Week 14 recap
From a shootout in Detroit to a defensive battle in Los Angeles that saw Sulley from Pixar’s Monsters, Inc. catching interceptions, Week 14 of the NFL brought a large range of action.
On the South Carolina side of things, Week 14 saw jersey swaps between former Gamecock defenders TJ Sanders and Demetrius Knight, alongside season firsts for others.
Here’s a look at how every former Gamecock performed on the weekend.

AFC West
Kyle Kennard – EDGE/outside linebacker, Los Angeles Chargers
Kennard was inactive for the Chargers’ game on Monday night.
Tonka Hemingway – Defensive tackle, Las Vegas Raiders
Hemingway returned from the inactive list to pick up his first career sack on Sunday against the Broncos.
Nate Adkins – Tight end, Denver Broncos
Adkins missed Sunday’s game with a knee injury for the fifth straight week.
Nick Gargiulo – Guard, Denver Broncos
Gargiulo remains on the IR after tearing his ACL in the preseason.
Adam Prentice – Fullback, Denver Broncos
Prentice had two carries for a season-high 22 yards against the Raiders. He also had two receptions for 11 yards.
Zacch Pickens – Defensive end, Kansas City Chiefs
Pickens remains on the Chiefs’ practice squad.
AFC East
TJ Sanders – Defensive tackle, Buffalo Bills
Sanders picked up two tackles against the Bengals on Sunday.
Alex Huntley – Defensive tackle, Miami Dolphins
Huntley remains on the Dolphins’ practice squad.
Marcellas Dial – Defensive back, New England Patriots
Dial is sidelined with a torn ACL and will not return in 2025.
AFC North
Raheim “Rocket” Sanders – Running back, Cleveland Browns
Sanders was inactive for the Browns in Week 14.
Gage Larvadain – Wide receiver, Cleveland Browns
Larvadain was featured in a game-changing two-point conversion attempt that was unsuccessful for the Browns against the Titans late in the game. The rookie wideout struggled to connect with quarterback Shedeur Sanders on Sunday.
Demetrius Knight II – Linebacker, Cincinnati Bengals
Knight picked up five tackles against Buffalo on Sunday.
AFC South
Chris Lammons – Cornerback, Indianapolis Colts
Lammons recorded one tackle against Houston on Sunday.
NFC South
Jovaughn Gwyn – Center, Atlanta Falcons
Gwyn did not feature in the Falcons’ Sunday game. His last game action came in Week 9.
Joshua Simon – Tight end, Atlanta Falcons
Simon remains on the Falcons’ practice squad.
Jaycee Horn – Cornerback, Carolina Panthers
The Panthers were on a Bye Week in Week 14.
Xavier Legette – Wide receiver, Carolina Panthers
The Panthers were on a Bye Week in Week 14.
DJ Wonnum – Outside linebacker, Carolina Panthers
The Panthers were on a Bye Week in Week 14.
Rico Dowdle – Running back, Carolina Panthers
The Panthers were on a Bye Week in Week 14.
Bam Martin-Scott – Inside linebacker, Carolina Panthers
The Panthers were on a Bye Week in Week 14.
Spencer Rattler – Quarterback, New Orleans Saints
Rattler remained at QB2 behind Tyler Shough in Week 12. His last game action came on Oct. 26.
Torricelli Simpkins III – Guard/Center, New Orleans Saints
Simpkins III started for the Saints on Sunday.
Kai Kroeger – Punter, New Orleans Saints
Kroeger punted three times in the 24-20 win over Tampa Bay. None of them were downed inside the 20 as one went through the endzone for a touchback. However, his 50.7 yards per punt was the longest of the season for the rookie.

Nixon had the game-sealing interception in the red zone against the Bears on Sunday, which was his first of the season. The former Gamecock recorded two tackles.
Kingsley Enagbare – Defensive end, Green Bay Packers
Enagbare picked up four tackles alongside a sack in a 28-21 win over Chicago on Sunday. It’s Enagbare’s first solo sack of the season.
Vershon Lee – Guard/Center, Minnesota Vikings
Lee remains on the Vikings’ practice squad.
NFC East
Deebo Samuel – Wide receiver, Washington Commanders
Samuel made four receptions for just 27 yards against the Vikings on Sunday.
Javon Kinlaw – Defensive tackle, Washington Commanders
Kinlaw assisted on a tackle in a shutout loss to Minnesota.
Darius Rush – Defensive back, Washington Commanders
Rush remains a member of the Commanders’ practice squad.
Dante Miller – Running back, New York Giants
Miller remains on the Giants’ practice squad
Jalen Brooks – Wide receiver, Dallas Cowboys
Brooks remains on the Cowboys’ practice squad.
Jadaveon Clowney – Linebacker, Dallas Cowboys
Clowney missed Thursday night’s game against Detroit with a hamstring injury.
NFC West
Nick Emmanwori – Safety, Seattle Seahawks
Emmanwori’s breakout game against Atlanta saw the Seahawks’ rookie become the first rookie in NFL history to record a sack, TFL, interception, and blocked field goal. He picked up six tackles, one sack, two tackles for loss, one interception, and a blocked field goal in a 37-6 rout of Atlanta.
Ernest Jones IV – Inside linebacker, Seattle Seahawks
Jones picked up 11 tackles against Atlanta after an NFC Defensive Player of the Week performance in Week 13. He also ranks in a three-way tie for second in the NFL in Interceptions through Week 14.
