Gamecocks in the NFL: Week 6 roundup

Week 6 came and went after Monday night’s doubleheader in the National Football League. The week saw highs and lows, especially for the large list of Gamecocks on the Carolina Panthers.
Here’s a look at how every former Gamecock performed in Week 6.
AFC West
Kyle Kennard – EDGE/outside linebacker, Los Angeles Chargers
Kennard still struggles to get on the field as a rookie. When asked what he needs to do, head coach Jim Harbaugh said the edge rusher needs to “keep chipping away at it.” After a healthy scratch in Week 5 5, Kennard recorded one tackle in Week 6 against the Dolphins.
Tonka Hemingway – Defensive tackle, Las Vegas Raiders
Hemingway was a healthy scratch in the Raiders game against the Titans on Sunday.
Nate Adkins – Tight end, Denver Broncos
Adkins caught his first touchdown of the season against the Jets on Sunday, recording a season-high 23 yards on two receptions.
Nick Gargiulo – Guard, Denver Broncos
Gargiulo remains on the IR after tearing his ACL in the preseason.
Adam Prentice – Fullback, Denver Broncos
Prentice saw limited action on Sunday, his only carry coming in a 3rd-and-10 situation, gaining only three yards.
Zacch Pickens – Defensive end, Kansas City Chiefs
Pickens remains on the Chiefs’ practice squad.
AFC East
TJ Sanders – Defensive tackle, Buffalo Bills
The Bills placed TJ Sanders alongside Damar Hamlin on the IR ahead of Monday night’s game against Atlanta.
Alex Huntley – Defensive tackle, Miami Dolphins
Huntley remains on the Dolphins’ practice squad.
Marcellas Dial – Defensive back, New England Patriots
Dial is sidelined with a torn ACL and will not return in 2025.
AFC North
Raheim “Rocket” Sanders – Running back, Cleveland Browns
Sanders was labeled inactive in the Browns’ matchup against the Steelers
Demetrius Knight II – Linebacker, Cincinnati Bengals
Knight continues to shine as one of the better rookie linebackers this season. Knight picked up seven tackles in the loss to Green Bay.
AFC South
Chris Lammons – Cornerback, Indianapolis Colts
Two weeks removed from the practice squad, Lammons found himself making a key play to secure the Colts’ win on Sunday.
NFC South
Jovaughn Gwyn – Center, Atlanta Falcons
Gwyn has yet to appear in the 2025 season for Atlanta.
Joshua Simon – Tight end, Atlanta Falcons
Simon remains unseen in the regular season for Atlanta.
Jaycee Horn – Cornerback, Carolina Panthers
Horn did not record a tackle, but provided good coverage in the Panthers’ win over Dallas. Controversy mired Horn’s Sunday afternoon after it was revealed he had to demand to cover George Pickens in the game’s final drive.

Dalevon Campbell – Wide receiver, Carolina Panthers
The Panthers waived Campbell on October 10.
DJ Wonnum – Outside linebacker, Carolina Panthers
Wonnum picked up a season-high two solo tackles on Sunday.
Rico Dowdle – Running back, Carolina Panthers
Dowdle set the Panthers franchise record for scrimmage yards in a matchup between him and his former team. The running back continues to shine in the absence of Chubba Hubbard, rushing for 389 yards over the last two weeks.
Bam Martin-Scott – Inside linebacker, Carolina Panthers
Martin-Scott recorded a tackle against Dallas on Sunday.
Israel Mukuamu – Defensive back, Carolina Panthers
The Panthers waived Mukuamu on Oct. 10.
Spencer Rattler – Quarterback, New Orleans Saints
Rattler had a season-best 227 yards on a 76.9 completion percentage despite the loss to New England.
Torricelli Simpkins III – Guard/Center, New Orleans Saints
Simpkins III was inactive in the Saints’ game against New England.
Kai Kroeger – Punter, New Orleans Saints
Kroeger only punted twice despite Sunday’s loss, with neither being downed inside the 20-yard line.
NFC North
Keisean Nixon – Cornerback, Green Bay Packers
Nixon was targeted nine times and allowed five catches, including a touchdown to Ja’Marr Chase, on Sunday.
Kingsley Enagbare – Defensive end, Green Bay Packers
Enagbare’s name has begun to appear in trade rumors as some teams find interest in the defensive end. He assisted on two tackles in Sunday’s win over Cincinnati.
Vershon Lee – Guard/Center, Minnesota Vikings
Lee remains on the Vikings’ practice squad.
NFC East
Deebo Samuel – Wide receiver, Washington Commanders
Samuel struggled to find space on Monday night, making four catches for only 15 yards.
Javon Kinlaw – Defensive tackle, Washington Commanders
Kinlaw struggled in the Commanders’ loss to Chicago, only picking up one assisted tackle.
Darius Rush – Defensive back, Washington Commanders
Rush still works as a member of the Commanders’ practice squad, seeking a return to Sundays.
Dante Miller – Running back, New York Giants
Miller remains on the Giants’ practice squad
Jalen Brooks – Wide receiver, Dallas Cowboys
Brooks still fights to get back on the Cowboys’ active roster from the practice squad.
Jadaveon Clowney – Linebacker, Dallas Cowboys
Clowney made only one tackle in the loss to Carolina on Sunday.
NFC West
Nick Emmanwori – Safety, Seattle Seahawks
Emmanwori picked up a career-high nine tackles against Jacksonville on Sunday as the rookie continues to shine after recovering from his collarbone injury.
Ernest Jones IV – Inside linebacker, Seattle Seahawks
Jones added eight tackles and a pass deflection against the Jaguars on Sunday.
