Kickoff time revealed for South Carolina's homecoming date with Alabama

Following a frustrating road loss at LSU over the weekend, South Carolina returns home this week to begin a two-game homestand, starting with No. 14 Oklahoma on Saturday.
That game is slated to kick off at 12:45 p.m. on SEC Network.
The following week, the Gamecocks will host No. 6 Alabama at Williams-Brice Stadium, and the kickoff time has now been revealed.
Next Saturday’s game against the Crimson Tide will be at 3:30 p.m. on ABC, the SEC announced on Monday. This will be Alabama’s first road trip to Columbia since 2019.
Day games have been a rarity for South Carolina this season, as it’s the team’s first since the season opener against Virginia Tech in Atlanta. This will also be the Gamecocks’ homecoming game.
These two teams met last year down in Tuscaloosa, where South Carolina quickly fell behind by two touchdowns, but fought back to take the lead going into the fourth quarter. Two more touchdowns helped Alabama regain an eight-point lead with under two minutes to go.
With 43 seconds left in the game, the Gamecocks had a chance to tie it up after Nyck Harbor caught a 31-yard touchdown. On the two-point conversion attempt, LaNorris Sellers had Vandrevius Jacobs open, but he overthrew him as the pass sailed through the back of the end zone.

South Carolina ultimately lost the game, falling 27-25 at Bryant-Denny Stadium. The loss pushed it to 3-3 on the year before rattling off six straight wins to close out the regular season. It’s an eerily identical spot to the one it’s in now, as this year’s team is also 3-3 overall and 1-3 in conference play.
Alabama is getting hot at the right time with five straight wins since the season-opening loss at Florida State back on Aug. 30. The Crimson Tide (5-1, 3-0 SEC) is perfect so far in conference games with three consecutive wins over No. 5 Georgia, No. 16 Vanderbilt, and No. 14 Missouri.
They’ll have a chance to keep that streak going of defeating ranked teams when No. 11 Tennessee comes into town on Saturday. That game will kick off at 7:30 p.m. on ABC.
As for the Gamecocks, they’ve lost three of their last four games with the meat of their schedule still to come. After Oklahoma and Alabama, they’ll hit the road for two games against No. 5 Ole Miss and No. 4 Texas A&M to begin November. It’s all part of a current five-game stretch against ranked teams.
