Kickoff time revealed for South Carolina's road trip to Ole Miss ... sort of

Following a 26-7 loss to Oklahoma over the weekend, South Carolina will wrap up its two-game homestand with a homecoming date against No. 4 Alabama on Saturday.
That game is slated to kick off at 3:30 p.m. on ABC.
The following week, the Gamecocks will hit the road and head to Vaught-Hemingway Stadium to take on No. 8 Ole Miss, kickstarting their November slate.
Next Saturday’s game against the Rebels will be at one of three possible times. 3:30, 7 or 7:30 p.m. on ESPN or ABC, the SEC announced on Monday. A solidified kickoff time will be announced this weekend.
This will be South Carolina’s first trip to Oxford since 2020.
These two teams met last year in Columbia in a game that was as one-sided as it gets. Ole Miss handed the Gamecocks their worst loss of the 2024 season, losing 27-3 at Williams-Brice Stadium.
The Rebels quickly jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter before South Carolina got on the board with a 40-yard field goal by Alex Herrera in the second quarter. But they then scored 10 more points before halftime to take a 21-point lead into the break.
This was LaNorris Sellers’ first game back from an injury he had sustained a few weeks earlier against LSU. He went 20-for-32 passing for 162 yards and an interception while running for 55 yards on 15 carries.

Ole Miss (6-1, 3-1 SEC) won its first six games this year before falling to Georgia in Athens this past weekend. It had a nine-point lead going into the fourth quarter, but let it slip away as the Dawgs scored two touchdowns and a field goal in the final 15 minutes to come from behind and win last Saturday.
Before returning to Oxford to take on the Gamecocks, the Rebels will travel to play No. 13 Oklahoma on Saturday. South Carolina notably just played the Sooners over the weekend and suffered a 26-7 loss at home.
The Gamecocks (3-4, 1-4 SEC) are in a much different spot compared to Ole Miss right now, as they’ve lost four of their last five games. With five games remaining, they’ll need to win three of those matchups to become bowl eligible. Otherwise, it would be two of the last three years without going bowling.
After the trip to Ole Miss, South Carolina will be on a bye week before traveling to College Station to face No. 3 Texas A&M. It will then return home for the final two games of the season with Coastal Carolina and Clemson.
