Kickoff time, TV revealed for South Carolina vs. LSU

South Carolina was off this week, but it will have a critical road trip coming up when it returns from its bye week next weekend. Late after most of Saturday’s action was over, the Gamecocks’ matchup with LSU officially landed a kickoff time and network.
South Carolina (3-2, 1-2 SEC) will head to Baton Rouge next Saturday, Oct. 11, to take on No. 13 LSU with kickoff set for 7:45 p.m. ET and the SEC Network covering the action.
It will be South Carolina’s fifth straight night game of the season.
This matchup will begin a five-game stretch in which South Carolina will face all ranked opponents in SEC play. After playing the Tigers, it will face No. 5 Oklahoma, No. 10 Alabama, No. 4 Ole Miss, a bye week, and then No. 6 Texas A&M. Three of the next five games will be on the road.
This will also be a game in which the Gamecocks will be seeking redemption. Going back to last season, they suffered a controversial 36-33 loss to LSU at home in Week 3. What made it so contentious was a pick-six by Nick Emmanwori that got called back on an unnecessary roughness penalty that went against Kyle Kennard for shoving Tigers quarterback Garrett Nussmeier.
Had a flag not been thrown, Emmanwori’s 100-yard touchdown on the interception would’ve given South Carolina a 10-point lead with less than six minutes to go in the fourth quarter.
Instead, LSU scored a go-ahead touchdown with 72 seconds remaining in the game and then held on to win after Alex Herrera missed a potential game-tying field goal as time expired.

This will be South Carolina’s first trip to Tiger Stadium since 2020, a game LSU won 52-24. The Gamecocks haven’t beaten LSU since 1994 and have only won this matchup twice in program history.
The Tigers are also on their bye week and will come into this game at 4-1 overall and 1-1 in SEC play.
LSU opened the season with four straight wins, including a season-opening victory on the road against then-No. 4 Clemson. It also beat Louisiana Tech, Florida and Southeastern Louisiana. But in its first road test since Clemson, LSU suffered a 24-19 loss at Ole Miss as its offense struggled at times.
South Carolina will be coming off its first conference win of the year after earning a 35-13 victory over Kentucky this past Saturday. The Gamecocks got off to a 2-0 start before dropping games to Vanderbilt and Missouri.
