The South Carolina Gamecocks kick off against the No. 4 Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturday afternoon. The kickoff is set for 3:30 and will be broadcast live on ABC.
Both teams enter this game at opposite ends of the momentum scale. South Carolina enters its eighth game of the 2025 campaign at 3-4 after dropping four of its last five games. Meanwhile, Alabama has been riding high ever since its Week 1 loss to Florida State, winning six straight games to a 6-1 record.
The Crimson Tide is entering Saturday afternoon coming off a win over No. 15 Missouri, 27-24. The Gamecocks are coming off a 26-7 home loss to No. 13 Oklahoma. The game marks the second in a stretch of four straight games against Associated Press top-15 opponents for the Gamecocks through conference play. Following Saturday, the Gamecocks head to Oxford, M.S., to face No. 8 Ole Miss, then to College Station, T.X,. to face No. 3 Texas A&M with a bye week in between.

First Quarter
South Carolina: 3 Alabama: 0 [07:32]: South Carolina won the coin toss and elected to receive and started at their own 20-yard line. After an offsides call gave the Gamecocks their first first down of the day, South Carolina drove down into the redzone. However, the drive stalled out at the 4-yard line, and the Gamecocks kicked a 24-yard field goal. Alabama went three-and-out in its opening drive.
South Carolina: 3 Alabama: 7 [05:17]: Alabama’s defense quickly made up for the offense’s opening drive three-and-out, taking a tip-drill interception for six. The pass is LaNorris Sellers first pick-six of the season and his third interception of the season. Gamecocks go three-and-out when they get the ball back.
Second Quarter
South Carolina: 3 Alabama: 7 [11:26]: Alabama faced its third three-and-out of the afternoon before a 21-yard gain, thanks to a missed tackle from Myles Norwood moves the sticks. However, following another 25-yard gain through the air for Alabama, the Crimson Tide fumbled the ball after a Vicari Swain sack. Gamecocks take over at their own 42.
South Carolina: 3 Alabama: 14 [1:45]: Facing 4th and goal, Ty Simpson found Josh Cuevas open in the endzone for six.
Third Quarter
South Carolina: 12 Alabama: 14 [10:59]: Following an Alabama turnover on downs, Sellers found Nyck Harbor downfield for a one-play, 54-yard touchdown drive. South Carolina fails the two-point conversion.
South Carolina: 15 Alabama: 14 [1:38]: William Joyce made a 47-yard field goal to give the Gamecocks their first lead since 3-0. The kick moved Joyce to 2-4 on the season on field goals from 47 yards out.
