Marcellas Dial makes decision on football future, enters NFL Draft

Redshirt senior defensive back Marcellas Dial will enter the 2024 NFL Draft, he announced on Thursday.
Dial was an impact player on South Carolina’s defense for multiple years. He finished this year with 36 tackles and a sack. For his career, he had 114 tackles, 28 pass deflections, one sack, a forced fumble and three interceptions.
“I’m proud to say that I’ve had the privelge to represent this university for the past three seasons. I’m thankful for all of the faith and confidence that Coach Beamer and this great coaching staff has had in me throughout my time here. I want to shoutout Coach Gray for mentoring me and helping me elevate my game in may different ways,” Dial posted on X (formerly Twitter).

Dial accepted an invitation to the East-West Shrine Bowl, which was already a good indication that his time at South Carolina was over. On top of that, he ran out of eligibility after this season.
