Mark your calendars: South Carolina's SEC baseball schedule set for 2026

In 157 days, Opening Day will be here, and South Carolina will kick off its 2026 baseball season.
The SEC announced the Gamecocks’ full 30-game baseball schedule for conference play on Tuesday afternoon. They’ll travel to Florida, Georgia, Missouri, LSU and Vanderbilt. They’ll also host Arkansas, Texas, Mississippi State, Kentucky and Alabama.
This will be the first time that South Carolina will face Texas now as a member of the SEC. The Gamecocks and Longhorns previously played each other in a home-and-home series back in 2021 and 2022, but that was when Texas was in the Big 12.
Another key weekend to mark down on the schedule will be Paul Mainieri’s first trip back to LSU. Mainieri, now entering his second season at South Carolina, was the Tigers’ head coach from 2007-21. He led LSU to a national championship in 2009 and won six SEC Tournaments in his time in Baton Rouge.
The SEC Tournament will take place May 19-24 at the Hoover Met in Hoover, Alabama. Just like last season, all 16 teams will play in the single-elimination event.

More SEC weekends could move to Thursday-Saturday due to TV. Those changes will be announced at a later date. Game times for these weekend series have yet to be announced.
South Carolina is set to begin fall practice in less than a month on Tuesday, Oct. 7. The Gamecocks will play a pair of scrimmages against outside competition, starting with Charlotte at Founders Park on Nov. 2 and away at Charleston on Nov. 7.
