Rocket Sanders
The transfer running back from Arkansas is making progress after tearing his labrum towards the end of last season. Sanders, who was in a sling when the Gamecock newcomers to the program were introduced less than two weeks ago at halftime of the South Carolina men’s basketball game, was not wearing a sling on Thursday.
“For me (right now), rehabbing. Rehabbing big,” said Sanders. “I hurt my shoulder back in Arkansas in the second to last game. So I’m just rehabbing that back.”

Sanders was in good spirits but shied away from answering any goals he has. He said his focus for the time being is getting back onto the field so he can help the team. A place that he’s optimistic that he’ll be able to bring a lot to South Carolina’s backfield.
“I feel like I’m versatile. One good thing about me is that I can catch out of the backfield, which I think plays a big part in (playing) running back nowadays in this level and in the next level as well. I feel like another thing (I’m good at) is pass pro; blocking.”

Brady Hunt
The Ball State transfer dealt with an ankle injury this past season but shinned as a redshirt freshman in 2022, where he received several First Team All American honors. That production is why he was named to the Mackey Watch List in 2023, which is an award given annually to the most outstanding collegiate tight end.
“I feel great. The ankle has been getting better every day,” said Hunt. “I feel as close to 100 percent as I last played in my last game. It’s been great ever since I’ve been here. Just continue to keep working and keep getting better.”

A former high school quarterback, Hunt made the switch to tight end during his true freshman season in 2021 and appeared in two games. He comes to South Carolina with three years of eligibility remaining.
“I believe that I’m a three-down tight end. I feel like I’m somebody who’s going to pop the big plays in the run game and in the pass game. I’m really just a guy who’s going to be out there wherever they need me and make plays, whether that be with the ball in my hands or without the ball in my hands.”
