South Carolina adds Georgia Tech right-hander Connor Chicoli from transfer portal

Right-handed pitcher Connor Chicoli has committed to South Carolina, he announced on social media on Tuesday.
Chicoli, who stands at 6-foot-3, 185 pounds, spent his freshman season at Georgia Tech in 2025. He made 14 appearances and five starts on the mound for the Yellow Jackets. He went 1-1 with a 5.46 ERA and struck out 18 batters with five walks in 28 innings.
Chicoli’s best outing of the year came on May 7 when he pitched 7.2 innings of two-run ball against Mercer, striking out four without a walk.

Chicoli, a Raleigh, NC, native, played his high school baseball at Pro5 Baseball Academy. The Class of 2024 product was ranked as the No. 4 right-handed pitcher and No. 10 overall player in the state of North Carolina, according to Perfect Game.
The transfer portal opened on Monday, June 2, and has now closed with no more players being allowed to enter. Chicoli will have three years of eligibility remaining. He becomes the 18th transfer to join the Gamecocks this offseason.
