South Carolina baseball left-handed pitcher Ashton Crowther enters transfer portal

South Carolina left-handed pitcher Ashton Crowther entered the transfer portal, College Baseball Central’s Andrew Riedell reported on Sunday.
In Crowther’s lone season pitching for the Gamecocks, the redshirt sophomore went 2-2 with a 4.38 ERA. In his 19 appearances, Crowther pitched 28 strikeouts in 37 innings. He also gave up 18 earned runs, 36 hits and walked 10 batters.
Crowther joined the Gamecocks in 2025 after spending two years at the University of Miami (FL). After redshirting as a true freshman, he pitched 15 games for the Hurricanes, including seven starts.

Crowther becomes the 18th player to exit South Carolina this offseason via the transfer portal. He is also the 10th Gamecock pitcher from last season to enter.

- Made 19 appearances with two starts for the Gamecocks in 2025
