South Carolina baseball to debut new uniforms following big win
On Thursday night, South Carolina right-handed pitcher Brandon Stone delivered a rock-solid performance against the No.11 Ole Miss Rebels, leading the Gamecocks to a 3-2 victory by firing a complete game. Outside of two solo home runs, Stone mowed through the Ole Miss order in under 90 pitches and in less than two hours. The “Maddux” performance was the first complete game at USC since Brett Kerry dominated Kentucky in 2021.
On Friday night, the Gamecocks will look to build on the momentum from Thursday’s much-needed win. And they will do so while rocking new threads. After several teases, South Carolina revealed new uniforms on Friday morning.

Head coach Paul Mainieri and his staff hope that the new look will help propel the Gamecocks to their first back-to-back wins in SEC play since last spring. A victory also would secure South Carolina’s first series win since the Gamecocks swept Morehead State early in March.

Currently sitting at 22-17 overall and 3-13 in-conference, Carolina will need to string together a bunch of wins down the stretch to sneak into postseason play.
Friday afternoon’s matchup against Ole Miss will begin at 4:00 p.m. at Founders Park. The start time will allow for minimal interference with the football team’s 7:30 p.m. Garnet and Black Spring Game. SEC Network+ will stream the Gamecocks and Rebels, but the game will not be on traditional television.
