South Carolina baseball pitcher enters transfer portal

South Carolina baseball left-handed pitcher Jarvis Evans has hit the transfer portal, On3’s Pete Nakos reports. The former Georgia Bulldogs arm spent just one year in Columbia.
During his lone season with the Gamecocks, Evans went 4-2 with a 5.89 ERA. He also logged a 41-17 K-BB ratio this spring. He spent part of the year as a mid-week starter, part of the year as a weekend option, and made four appearances out of the bullpen. Evans will have one year of eligibility remaining at his next stop.
Evans is the 17th player to exit the South Carolina baseball program this offseason via the transfer portal. He is the ninth pitcher to go portaling.
