South Carolina down starting tackle for Charlotte

South Carolina is once again hit with the injury bug.
The Gamecocks will be without starting tackle Dylan Wonnum, who was not included on the dress roster Saturday night.
Wonnum battled injuries all of last year and came back for 2022. He’s started the first three games of the year, first two at right tackle and last week at left with Jaylen Nichols out.
With Wonnum unavailable and Nichols potentially banged up, the Gamecocks will likely look at Tyshawn Wannamaker and Jakai Moore at tackle. Nichols is listed on the dress roster, though.

Terrell Dawkins, a reserve defensive lineman, is also not on the dress roster Saturday along with David Spaulding. Darius Rush isn’t either, although Shane Beamer mentioned this week he was out with a hamstring injury.
Cam Smith, Boogie Huntley, Devonni Reed and Stone Blanton are all on the dress roster as well.
The biggest potential addition is Corey Rucker, who is on the dress list for the first time this year after a foot injury.

“I think he’s a guy with some athleticism and twitch,” said Shane Beamer after the Georgia game. “I’ll be honest with you, a lot of that I’m basing off what I saw at Arkansas State. He got banged up as we literally started practice… He gives us more depth at the position and was a very productive receiver at Arkansas State.”
He was on the field pregame warming up.
