Following a long weather delay on Saturday, South Carolina beat SC State 38-10 in a less-than-pretty affair. Then, on Sunday, the updated AP poll saw the Gamecocks slip out of the top 10 after just one week.

USC’s No. 11 spot in the rankings included votes as high as the top seven and as low as unranked.
