A high-character person, Huntley will bring plenty of intangibles to the table. However, he’s also a good football player. The former Hammond School standout plays hard and showed good things against the run during his Gamecock career. His best overall game came in 2023 against Mississippi State when he registered two sacks, two pass knockdowns, a fumble recovery, and a blocked kick en route to an SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week selection.
Huntley was a leader and team captain for the Gamecocks who helped guide South Carolina through the post-Will Muschamp rebuild and, eventually, to within one game of the College Football Playoff in 2024.
