On Saturday, College GameDay was in Eugene, Oregon ahead of a top 10 matchup between the hometown Oregon Ducks and the visiting Indiana Hoosiers. The battle of unbeatens brought out the typical panel of Desmond Howard, Rece Davis, Pat McAfee, Nick Saban, and Kirk Herbstreit. Though much of the show was dedicated to the BIG Ten showdown, ESPN’s pregame show covered other games, as well. That included South Carolina’s road matchup against LSU.

Every Saturday, College GameDay picks what they deem the best games of the weekend.

”Stanford Steve” Coughlin chose the Gamecocks as one of his SuperDog picks of the week. The spread guru argued that South Carolina needs the victory and will play well enough to have a chance to win. Coughlin did not a pick a Gamecock victory but said Shane Beamer’s team will “keep it close” and within the 9.5-point spread.

However, when it came time for the GameDay panel to make their week seven selections, South Carolina-LSU didn’t make the cut.
