SEC announces South Carolina-Kentucky kickoff, TV details
On Monday, South Carolina learned a little more about its September 27th date with the Kentucky Wildcats. The Southeastern Conference announced that the Gamecocks and Wildcats will kick off at 7:45 p.m. in Williams-Brice Stadium. SEC Network will broadcast the in-conference matchup, while the ESPN app makes it available via streaming.
The showdown will be the third night game in Columbia this season. The Gamecocks defeated South Carolina State in week two before losing to Vanderbilt in week three. The week four matchup against Missouri in “the other Columbia” is also a night contest.
Like many games on the 2025 schedule, South Carolina’s matchup with Kentucky originally held a “flex” designation.
Now 2-1 on the 2025 season, Shane Beamer’s team will play at Missouri this Saturday before returning home for the meeting with the Wildcats.

Kentucky is also 2-1, with a loss to their only conference opponent (Ole Miss), as well. However, Mark Stoops’ group has a bye this weekend leading up to the USC contest.

Some back-and-forth between Beamer and Stoops a couple of years ago has added some juice to the SEC rivalry. South Carolina has retaken control of the rivalry, defeating Kentucky three years in a row. That reverses a trend that saw the Gamecocks lose seven of eight in the series from 2014-2021.
Carolina owns an overall series record of 21-14-1 and has won 17 of 25 matchups since 2000.
