Who's the 'most explosive' player on South Carolina football's roster?

South Carolina’s freshman wide receiver class has been the talk of the town as the Gamecocks prepare for the 2025 season.
One former four-star prospect drew some high praise from his coach, second-year assistant Mike Furrey, on Friday.
“Brian Rowe, he’s probably the most explosive, electrifying guy that we have in our football program,” Furrey said during an appearance on The GamecockCentral Takeover Hour on The Game.

Coming out of Jay M Robinson High in Concord, North Carolina, Rowe was tabbed by the On3 Industry Ranking as the country’s 266th-best prospect regardless of position.
He’s part of a group that includes four other talented freshman pass-catchers in the same class, and a room that will be further bolstered this week by the arrival of Donovan Murph.
Even prior to spring, Rowe was turning heads with his athleticism. That continued once the pads came on in spring football.

“He’s got a savviness and a skill set that he brings from being a phenomenal basketball player where he can maneuver in and around people and he can catch the ball,” Furrey said of Rowe.
Rowe will also get a look in the return game, and he was honored during halftime of the Garnet and Black Game with the Special Teams Newcomer of the Year award for the offensive side of the ball.
In the contest, he caught 5 passes for 45 yards.
Aside from what he’s shown on the field, Furrey’s also been impressed by the type of teammate that Rowe’s already shown to be.
“If you got back and look at our spring, every time Nyck made a play or Mazeo made a big play, whoever it was, B Rowe and Mazeo and Jared Brown are all running around happy for each other, high fiving each other. And that creates confidence in our room and that continuity and so it’s helped all of them.”
