Charleston product picks up offer from Gamecocks

A 2025 flex tight end hailing from the Lowcountry is the latest recipient of a scholarship offer from South Carolina football.
Marshall Pritchett, who plays his high school ball at Rabun Gap in Georgia, sent news of the offer out via social media on Wednesday night.
The 6-foot-5, 210-pounder has helped his high school program to a 7-0 start on the season and has tallied 30 catches and a pair of touchdown receptions.

The On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average of rankings from all four major recruiting services, rates Pritchett as a three-star prospect. He’s ranked by the metric as the 25th-best tight end in the country for the 2025 class and as the number 47 prospect in the state of Georgia.

For South Carolina football, tight ends coach Jody Wright will be scouting Pritchett in person during his game on Friday night.
Pritchett is closing in on 20 scholarship offers; Duke, North Carolina, Purdue, Michigan, Tennessee, Texas A&M, and Wisconsin, among others, have also offered.
His father, Wes Pritchett, is a former All-American at Notre Dame.
At the tight end position, the Gamecocks have a verbal commitment in the 2024 class from Savannah (Georgia) Calvary Day product Michael Smith. South Carolina football does not yet have anyone on the commitment list in the 2025 cycle.
