South Carolina football learns kickoff time, TV details for Ole Miss contest

Late on Saturday night, word came down from the SEC regarding next weekend’s game times. South Carolina and Ole Miss will play under the lights at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium next Saturday.
According to the announcement, the Gamecocks (3-5; 1-5) and Rebels (7-1; 4-1) will kick off at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 1st. ESPN will handle the broadcast, while the ESPN app streams the action on the field.
Following two non-night games in a row, South Carolina will have a late kickoff for the sixth time this season.

South Carolina will enter next weekend’s SEC showdown riding a three-game losing streak. The Gamecocks have also lost five of their last six games, including a 29-22 heartbreaker to Alabama on Saturday.
Contrastingly, Ole Miss is coming off a big win over a ranked opponent. Having beaten a top-15 Oklahoma team the week after the Sooners smacked USC, Ole Miss will have some momentum as they work to keep their College Football Playoff resume looking pretty.

The Rebels’ only loss this fall came on the road against Georgia. They are a perfect 5-0 in home games in 2025.
Last season, Ole Miss handed South Carolina its worst loss of the year. The Rebels beat the Gamecocks, 27-3, inside Williams-Brice Stadium. This year’s contest, though, will be in Oxford.
Ironically, the last time Carolina played a road game against Mississippi, it was the final game led by previous head coach Will Muschamp, who was fired after a 59-42 defeat. Many remember that contest as the game in which Lane Kiffin tossed his clipboard 30 feet in the air to celebrate the game-clinching touchdown.
