SEC Play
Vanderbilt
South Carolina owns a 30-4 all-time record over Vanderbilt. The Gamecocks are riding a 16-game winning streak in the series, including double-digit margins in six of the last seven.
Missouri
Missouri leads the Mayor’s Cup series, 9-6. However, that shrinks to 7-6 since the Tigers’ move to the SEC. Mizzou had taken five straight before Carolina won a 34-30 thriller in Williams-Brice in 2024.
Kentucky
South Carolina once dominated Kentucky, but the Wildcats won seven of eight from 2014-2021. Thanks to a three-game winning streak, the Gamecocks have flipped the series and lead the all-time count 21-14-1.
LSU
LSU hasn’t lost to USC since 1994, a stretch of nine games. South Carolina trails 20-2-1 in the all-time series but will look to avenge last fall’s controversial defeat. LSU hasn’t lost in Columbia since 1930.
Oklahoma
The 2024 matchup between South Carolina and Oklahoma was the first. The dominant 35-9 Gamecock win put the program up 1-0 in the series. The teams have never played in Columbia.
Alabama
South Carolina and Alabama have played pretty evenly this millennium, as the series is 4-3 (in favor of the Crimson Tide) since 2001. Alabama vacated one of those wins, pushing the official tally to 3-3. In total, though, ‘Bama leads the series in more lopsided fashion, 14-4.

Ole Miss
Ole Miss and Carolina have met 18 times in the teams’ histories. South Carolina owns eight wins and ten losses. In SEC play, the Rebels lead, 6-3. The Gamecocks have taken two of the last three in Oxford.
Texas A&M
Despite being cross-divisional rivals upon Texas A&M’s SEC entrance, South Carolina has only won the Bonham Trophy twice. However, those victories have come in the past three years. Overall, the Aggies lead the series, 9-2, and haven’t lost in College Station.
Non-Conference Games
Virginia Tech
South Carolina has an overall winning record against Virginia Tech, as the series favors USC 11-7-2. The teams haven’t played since 1991, a Carolina victory over Frank Beamer, father of current Gamecock head coach Shane Beamer.
South Carolina State
South Carolina State has never defeated its in-state big brother. The most recent meeting came in 2022, as the Gamecocks won 50-10 following a hurricane-caused rescheduling.
Coastal Carolina
Like SC State, Coastal Carolina has never beaten USC. South Carolina won 49-15 in 2018 and 70-10 in 2013 in the only two previous meetings.
Clemson
South Carolina has beaten Clemson two of the past three seasons, but the series still favors the Tigers, 73-44-4. Things have been closer since World War II, as Clemson led the series 26-11-1 after the first 38 games.
