South Carolina football held its first Shane Beamer Football Camp of the summer on Thursday. (You can read GamecockCentral’s Wes Mitchell’s report from the day here.) Shortly after camp ended, one player in attendance announced the Gamecocks had offered him a scholarship. Class of 2028 quarterback Brady Quinn announced his news on social media on Thursday afternoon. He joins Wonderful “Champ” Monds IV and Neimann Lawrence as 2028 quarterbacks offered by USC. Monds and Lawrence picked up their offers during the spring.

Quinn, who played last year at First Baptist Academy in Naples, Florida, is a 6-1, 190-pounder who has transferred to Lely High School (also in Naples) ahead of his sophomore campaign. His freshman film is impressive, as he tossed the pigskin for over 2500 yards and scored 34 overall touchdowns. He was an All-Region player and earned a spot on On3’s 2028 football recruiting class to watch. Both Monds and Lawrence are on that list, as well.

Keep up with all things Gamecocks for just $1 for 7 days—lock in this special offer today!

Quinn has a strong arm that will only get stronger as he adds more strength. With a solid frame, he looks capable of adding weight without damaging his throwing motion or running ability. He also has uncommon poise and composure for such a young player. Quinn is a good athlete who can extend plays and earn chunk yardage when flushed from the pocket.

As one of the top signal-callers in the ’28 cycle, Quinn was a Navy Freshman All-American this fall. It should come as no surprise that he already holds double-digit power conference offers. He has been in contact with a lot of other major programs that could pull the trigger on offers, too.

The Gamecocks will host their second camp session of the summer on Friday.
