South Carolina extends offer to young Irmo standout
On Saturday, South Carolina hosted a huge group of big-time recruits in Columbia. Though things didn’t go quite like the Gamecocks would have liked on the field, the weekend was a success off it.
Early returns from the visit were strong. One local standout even earned a scholarship offer. Irmo High School athlete Corey Miller announced the news before the unofficial visit was over. South Carolina represents his second power conference offer, following the Big 12’s Cincinnati Bearcats.
Miller’s older brother, Maleek Miller, is also a really good receiver for Irmo. He does not yet have a Carolina offer, but the three-star prospect was on campus this weekend alongside his brother and holds multiple power conference offers.
Fellow Irmo teammates, Jaiden Bryant and Nate Carson, are four-star recruits in the 2027 class. Bryant is a future five-star EDGE, and Carson is a four-star two-way lineman rated as an offensive tackle.

The Insiders Forum: Discuss South Carolina football!
Though younger than the other college prospects on his team, Corey Miller has begun to make a name for himself in the Midlands. The class of 2029 prospect is a wide receiver, running back, and defensive back for his Yellow Jackets squad.
Standing 6-1 and weighing in at 190 pounds, Miller has solid positional size for a young player. He also boasts a 4.5 40-yard dash and impressive leaping ability. He moves well and has good instincts (on both sides of the football) when the ball is in the air. At receiver, Miller also has experience playing both outside and in the slot.
Rivals has not yet ranked the class of 2029, so Miller does not have an official recruiting ranking. However, he is viewed as one of the top freshmen in the Palmetto State. He impressed this summer at a USC 7-on-7 camp.
