South Carolina football signees standing out at Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game practice
This week, some of the top high school players from the states of Alabama and Mississippi are participating in the annual all-star game between the Yellowhammer State and the Magnolia State. Among those in attendance in Hattiesburg, Mississippi is South Carolina football commitment Keenan Britt.
Britt, who played a hybrid EDGE/defensive tackle/outside linebacker role at Oxford High School, will be a linebacker for the Gamecocks. He is working out at both linebacker and EDGE this week in Hattiesburg. So far, the long-time USC pledge is standing out above his peers.
CBS Sports’ Gabe Brooks called Britt his top performer from Wednesday’s practice. He called the future Gamecocks an “alpha dog” and a “flat-out football player.” QB Country’s Larry Rudolph said that Britt is “looking solid,” both in his linebacker reps and when he rushes the passer. Rudolph also complemented the athletic “burst” that the three-star prospect has in the tank.

Britt is one of the longest-tenured commitments in the 2026 cycle for Shane Beamer’s program. The Rivals Industry Ranking considers him to be the No. 600 overall prospect nationally. He is the No. 21 player in Alabama, regardless of position, and the No. 50 linebacker recruit in the country.

Brooks also labeled South Carolina four-star quarterback signee Landon Duckworth as the player who threw with the most “consistent velocity and downfield strength.”
Touchdown Alabama Recruiting showed some love to Gamecock signee KJ Johnson, as well. The local outlet said that Johnson “looks like he fits the bill” as an SEC corner. He has the size and athletic tools to play multiple secondary spots for South Carolina.
Britt, Duckworth, and Johnson will take the field on Saturday around 1:00 p.m. The Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game will take place at MM Roberts Stadium on the campus of Southern Miss. The showcase will stream live on FNUTL.com and the MAC Network.
