South Carolina offers talented Georgia quarterback

Late on Wednesday, talented class of 2027 quarterback Kharim Hughley revealed that he had earned a scholarship offer from South Carolina. He announced the news on social media.
Hughley, who plays his prep ball for Gainesville High School in Gainesville, Georgia, is a 4-star prospect. The On3 industry ranking considers him as the No. 191 overall player in the ’27 cycle. He’s also No. 15 among quarterbacks and No. 26 among all players in the Peach State. On3’s player rankings are slightly higher on Hughley, ranking him No. 150 overall, No. 13 among quarterbacks, and No. 24 (regardless of position) in the state of Georgia.
Other power conference programs like Georgia, Florida, Auburn, Georgia Tech, Ole Miss, Illinois, Florida State, Duke, Kentucky, and USF have offered Hughley, as well. His recruitment has blown up of late as most of those offers have come since January.

As a player, Hughley has a lot of positive traits despite being a smaller quarterback who is under six feet tall and weighs less than 200 pounds. He can drive the football downfield and make throws both from the pocket and while on the move. The rising high school junior is mobile but not reliant upon running the football to be successful. Hughley is a good decision-maker with the ball and has a knack for making plays with smooth and comfortable athleticism.
South Carolina has offered scholarships to six other quarterbacks in the class of 2027. Most notably, Trent Seaborn and Jayce Johnson seem to have emerged as significant targets for USC. Trae Taylor (who is committed to Nebraska), Gunner Rivers, Champ Smith, and William Jackson also hold Gamecock offers.
