Where South Carolina ranks in SEC Network power rankings

Through two weeks of the 2025 season, South Carolina football owns a 2-0 record. Overall, the offense has been disappointing, the defense has been really good, and the special teams has been, arguably, the best in the sport.
This week, several SEC Network analysts unveiled their Southeastern Conference power rankings.
Chris Doering, a former All-American wide receiver at Florida, ranked South Carolina sixth in the conference. Benjamin Watson, an All-SEC tight end at Georgia, slotted the Gamecocks in at No. 7. Dari Nowkhah, who graduated from Oklahoma before beginning his long career at ESPN, was lower on USC, ranking Shane Beamer’s team No. 12. Alyssa Lang, a noted University of South Carolina alum, put her alma mater fifth in her rankings.
