Former South Carolina quarterback gets new job in coaching
Former South Carolina quarterback and assistant coach Seth Strickland has earned a new coaching gig. Charleston Southern University announced that Strickland will serve as their offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. He last served as the offensive coordinator, wide receivers, and tight ends coach at fellow in-state school, Anderson.
Before his stop at Anderson, Strickland spent time with Division-II Albany State, high school powerhouse IMG Academy, professional team (AAF) Orlando Apollos with former head coach Steve Spurrier, and at his alma mater. He was the quarterbacks coach at Albany State (and also offensive coordinator), IMG, and with the Apollos. With the Gamecocks, Strickland served in multiple off-field analyst roles under Spurrier and then under head coach Will Muschamp. He also was the interim tight ends coach for the Outback Bowl after the 2017 season.
