Former South Carolina quarterback Spencer Rattler went through testing and on-field drills during the NFL Combine on Saturday.

The Arizona native posted a 4.95 second time in the 40-yard dash and a 4.37 second time in the 20-yard shuttle.

Rattler also vertical jumped 32 inches, had a 9-foot broad jump, and put up a time of 7.21 seconds in the three-cone drill.

The 6-foot, 211-pounder was a standout at this year’s Senior Bowl, taking home Most Valuable Player honors from the game after going 4-4 passing with a 29-yard touchdown strike.

During his college career, Rattler completed 900-of-1,313 career passes (68.5 pct.) for 10,807 yards with 77 touchdowns and 32 interceptions. He began his career at Oklahoma before transferring to South Carolina prior to the 2022 season.

For the Gamecocks in 2023, Rattler started all 12 games, completing 275-of-389 passes for 3,186 with 19 touchdowns and eight interceptions. He was selected as a Rex Enright Team Captain and as a co-winner of the Steve Wadiak Team MVP Award.

“I think they’ve seen more mobility out of Spencer,” said Reese’s Senior Bowl Director Jim Nagy of Rattler’s 2023 campaign for South Carolina. “He’s gonna enter the draft process with over 40 career starts at the college level, which is huge. And he’s got some big games still left on the schedule, including today against a Missouri defense that has a lot of NFL talent on it, where he can prove to NFL scouts that he is a starter at the next level.”
