Gamecock uniform report for South Carolina-Texas A&M

Last season, South Carolina wore a number of uniform combinations, not repeating one until the 11th game of the year. The 2025 Gamecocks have repeated just once. On Saturday, as they do battle on the road against a top-5 Texas A&M group, Shane Beamer’s team will don a look they haven’t worn this fall.

According to a Saturday morning post from the South Carolina football social media team, the Gamecocks will wear their garnet helmets against Texas A&M. The garnet lids will feature the white circle and classic Block C. USC will wear a garnet facemask for the game.

A short time later, the social media team unveiled the entire gameday look.

South Carolina will wear garnet helmets (with garnet facemasks), white jerseys, and white pants. It also represents the first time the Gamecocks have worn the combination this season.

The team has not worn garnet-white-white with a garnet facemask under head coach Shane Beamer. However, they have worn garnet-white-white with a black facemask on several occasions. The last time South Carolina used the combo was on the road against Kentucky in 2024, a 31-6 beatdown for the Gamecocks. Overall, Carolina is 3-2 under Beamer with garnet hats, white shirts, and white pants.

Kickoff for the Texas A&M game will be at noon (Eastern). ESPN will handle the broadcast, while the ESPN app will make the action available via streaming.

Both the Gamecocks and the Aggies have been inside the top 10 at some point this season. However, that feels like long ago for South Carolina, as USC hasn’t earned a spot in the rankings in almost two months. A&M has been ranked the entire season, and Mike Elko’s squad now sits at No. 3 in the AP top 25, coaches poll, and updated College Football Playoff Rankings.

BetMGM lists the Aggies as a 19.5-point favorite. Kyle Field has sold out for the SEC showdown. Texas A&M University announced a “maroon out” for the game earlier in the week. That means there will be maroon and garnet helmets on the field on Saturday.
