South Carolina adds transfer offensive lineman

Fresh off a visit to South Carolina, Western Kentucky transfer portal offensive lineman Rodney Newsom Jr. has committed to the Gamecocks, giving them their second o-line addition of this portal cycle. On3’s Pete Nakos reports that Newsom has signed.
“Visit was amazing,” Newsom told GamecockCentral on Sunday. “Enjoyed every moment of it!”
Newsom was receiving interest from other SEC programs but rather than take other visits decided to shut down his recruitment and commit to South Carolina.
The 6-foot-3, 303-pounder is ranked the No. 10 interior offensive lineman in the transfer portal.
